SEO and Money
So How Much Money Can SEO Make Your Business?
It is critical for businesses to appear on the first page of Google search. According to the most recent studies, the first page delivers 6 to 9 times as many searches as does the 2nd page and rankings beyond page 2 have almost no business value, according to Optify. Now since more than 50% of all sales in the U.S. are preceded by an internet search we can project the difference between what being on the first page and being on the second page of Google really means in dollars. Here are a couple of examples.
If a law firm averages $5,000 gross revenue per client and handles 100 cases per year, they have grossed 1/2 million. If 50% of these clients came via Google internet search and the firm was not on the first page they left at least $1,500,000 on the table that year. This is just in one year!
So your business does not gross those kind of dollars. How about a gross of $125,000 per year? If you follow the same logic as above, and manage to move onto Google’s first page instead of the second, you are a 1/2 million dollar business. You just gained at least another $375,000!
You can see how valuable being ranked on the first page of Google really is, and these examples take for granted that your business is on the 2nd page. The results are even more compelling if you are further down in the Google rankings.
